Ijara pleads for Telkom�s services

Ijara district is sending a request to Telkom Kenya to instal some public booths in the area. They say that they have to rely on telephone bureaux, most of which charge them an arm and a leg to make calls.

Furthermore, the bureaux operate for specific hours only. In case of an emergency the locals have no recourse to telephone facilities. Communication in this area has been rendered prehistoric.
