Football: Uganda, Ethiopia and Zanzibar enter semi-finals

Uganda, Ethiopia and Zanzibar have entered semi-finals at the on-going East and Central Africa Football Association (CECAFA) Senior Challenge Cup in Kigali, capital city of Rwanda, according to reports on Monday.

Zanzibar was qualified for the semi-finals with 10 points after three wins and one draw at group A which also include Tanzania (4 points), Rwanda (3 points), Burundi (1 point) and Eritrea (1 point).

Both Uganda and Ethiopia have entered the semi-finals representing group B. Uganda has three wins and one draw totaling 10 points while Ethiopia has two wins and one draw totaling 7 points.

Another team will be selected from group A at three day group matches this week.

The three-day semi-finals will start on Thursday.
