Ethiopian Somalis Condemns Amharic Services Of VOA, Dutsche Welle

Ethiopian Somalis living in Nairobi, Kenya condemned the Amharic services of VOA and Dutche Welle for disseminating information bent on instigating havoc in Ethiopia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

They called on the services to refrain from their propaganda aimed at sowing seeds of discord among nations and nationalities, according to a press statement the Minsitry sent to ENA on Thursday.

In a resolution they passed on January 8, 2025 following a discussion on the prevailing situation in Ethiopia held in Nairobi, they said CUD executives and a handful of their supporters had instigated in Addis Ababa and other towns.

They expressed support for the activities launched recently to bring ring leaders of the riot before court.

They also expressed their commitment to extend support for the government to strengthen democracy and good governance.

They called on the people of Somali State to rally behind the government in its drive to speed up development activities in the state.
