GodeyNews administration has made contact to Godey and writes this report about the two ICRC workers kidnapped near the city of Godey.
The news we are receiving from reliable sources tells us everyone including the region administrations, intellectuals, elders and scholars are working hard to release the two ICRC workers that has been kidnapped last Monday.
Our correspondent in Godey tells GodeyNews there has been a contact with these aid workers and they are well.
We (GodeyNews) are deeply concern about this horrific action of kidnapping all aid workers in our region whether they are international aid workers like ICRC or local aid workers.
We have no way of tolerating this kind of action against all humanitarian aid workers who are working to store hope for the people in the region.
1. We are condemning in the strongest terms for this action.
2. We are demanding the release of these two ICRC workers immediately and unconditionally.
3. We are asking not to repeat this shocking action ever again.
Kidnapping and intimidating of all aid workers are unacceptable. This type of action will only make difficult the lives of the people of the region who need all kinds of help from the regional and international aid organizations such us ICRC.
This type of behavior is in no way symbolizes the culture and the desires of the people of Godey region.
